A few words about Jerome David Salinger
Jerome David Salinger (1919-2010), best known as Jay. enough. Salinger was a Jewish American writer, best known for his book The Catcher in the Rye and the "Glass Family" series of stories. In 1948 he published in The New Yorker the story "A Perfect Day for Banana Fish," which is still considered one of the best short stories ever. In 1951, The Catcher in the Rye Field, Salinger's most successful book, was published. The great success and the great publicity he received were not to the liking of Salinger, who gradually began to disappear from the public eye.
