Koh-i-noor white soft pastel chalk

Very soft pastel chalk extra soft titanium white Toison d`Or series of the excellent Czech company Koh-i-noor. The chalk is in the form of a round cylinder, diameter 12 mm, length 7.5 cm, including a paper cover. Fat-free and suitable for mixing with water (watercolor effect), very useful for drawing in pastel and charcoal, ideal for mixed media paintings. The Toison d`Or round chalks are made at an artist level with high quality non-fading pigments. A very soft degree of difficulty means that it contains a small amount of binder and produces an especially strong color with a light rubbing on the page.

The pastel can be easily applied by rough application on the paper. Different types of paper with different textures will suit soft pastel painting, it is recommended to try paper of different colors, especially black paper to emphasize the light pastel shades. To achieve a gradation of color and transitions between different shades, you can use your finger, a dry brush, a piece of cloth or a charcoal spreader. An elastic charcoal eraser can be used to lighten or pick up the color grains. It is recommended to use a fixative to fix the color between each layer and at the end of the work on the piece, since soft pastel colors are easily spread.
