Tips for working with different sculpting materials using a plastic roller

Working with Natural ceramic clay There are endless possibilities. Ceramic clay can be kneaded, rolled, sculpted and washed. It can be designed from a massive block of clay or built from parts. Clay can be used for plaster molds for casting and even as liquid clay in casting a mold. During the work with clay, it should be moistened with water as needed in order to prevent drying and cracks. At the end of the work on a sculpture made of natural ceramic clay, it must be dried for a week. It is recommended to burn if possible, or cover with a layer of glue in order to preserve the statue. You can burn at our studio in Givatayim or at a ceramicist in your area of residence. After burning or covering with glue, you can move on to painting the statue.

Working with Clay Dry Tear off pieces and put them until they are soft like plasticine, then start to sculpt and shape. Dry clay can be shaped by rolling or sculpting and using different sculpting tools to design and create interesting textures. For smoothing or gluing two parts, spray a little water. It is recommended to use constructions for sculpting a human or animal figure and wrap them with pieces of clay. Dry clay dries in the air, so you simply place the sculptures to dry for one day, the drying time varies according to the thickness of the sculpture. After the sculpture has dried, you can move on to painting and decorating.
