While in the past painting and sculpture were seen as the embodiment of artistic expression, nowadays a variety of media, materials and techniques can be used. One of the materials that gained popularity very quickly is the epoxy resin (also known as epoxy resin / crystalline epoxy / crystalline enamel / cold enamel). It is a transparent liquid material designed for coating and casting, which hardens and becomes a uniform, hard and shiny material reminiscent of molten glass. Useful for coating works, tools, pictures and furniture or casting into a ready mold for making jewelry, key chains, dice, boxes, chess pieces, clocks, hanging pieces, glasses, serving dishes, bowls and other decorative tools.

The epoxy resin comes in two parts A and B, which are mixed together in a 1:1 ratio according to the desired amount. As a result of mixing the two parts, the chemical reaction causes the mixture to harden. The mixture hardens gradually: after a few minutes from the start of mixing it becomes thick and hardens within 45 minutes. During mixing, you can add color pigments and various additions such as glitter, flowers, oysters, etc. For the purpose of mixing, it is advisable to use a silicone tool, from which you can easily remove material residues that have hardened.
