A dry clay sculpting kit is a recommended gift for children and youth

Do&Dry clay made in the Netherlands has a uniform texture and is pleasant to the touch, non-toxic and child-friendly. The clay is ready to use, easy to work with and dries in the air without the need for fire. When working with dry clay, you tear off pieces and put them until they are soft like plasticine and then you start working. Use the different sculpting tools to roll, cut, design and create interesting textures. For smoothing or gluing two parts, spray a little water or use a wet sponge. For delicate sculptures or thin sculpture parts, it is recommended to use a flexible cable and pliers to build a support construction. When working with a construction, the cable is bent into a desired shape and wrapped with pieces of clay.

At the end of the work, the sculptures are placed to dry. The drying time varies according to the thickness of the sculpture and the room temperature. After the sculpture is dry you can move on to painting. This kit includes a painting set with acrylic paints, but you can also paint with gouache (recommended for small children) or spray paint (for a uniform and professional look). After the paint dries, it can be covered with varnish to preserve the sculpture and finish with a glossy or matte effect.

The dry clay should be kept in a sealed bag or a hermetic box, it is also recommended to wrap it in a wet piece of cloth. If the product has lost moisture and is difficult to process, you can use water to restore its elasticity.
