DIY menorah creation kit - a perfect holiday gift for children

Hanukkah or the holiday of lights is undoubtedly the holiday of creation, the holiday of children and the holiday of gifts. 8 festive nights, with lit Hanukkah candles and a warm atmosphere of the beginning of winter create the magical family atmosphere that invites activities for quality time and especially creation. In the past it was customary to distribute Hanukkah money to children, and during this time the tradition of coins was replaced by the tradition of gifts. And if it's a gift for the holiday, then let it be a useful and festive one to pass the holiday evenings with pleasure and wonderful activities. From our experience, art and craft kits are always received with enthusiasm and love, both among children and adults. And even those who don't really create show curiosity and are enchanted when they receive a surprising and inviting creative package.

So what do you create on Hanukkah? Greetings and decorations, colorful window paintings, spinning tops, urns, savings boxes for Hanukkah fees and in the first place - menorahs. The menorah - the symbol of the holiday, can come in a variety of shapes, colors and materials. Although useful only once a year, she is the cool star of the holiday. How fun to light a children's menorah, how much satisfaction and pride. We chose the high-quality Do & Dry clay from which you can create your special and artistic menorah. The clay is child-friendly, pleasant to the touch, easy to knead, flatten, design and sculpt, it has a uniform and smooth texture and it completely surpasses the other types of dry clay known to us in the market. Dry clay is a clay that dries in the air and does not require burning in a special oven. At the end of the work and after drying, you get a hard work, which can be painted with gouache, acrylic, spray paint and decorated with various additions with glue.

Some tips for work - Dry clay is clay that dries in the air, therefore during work it is advisable to spray it with a little water and also moisten it with water for smoothing or for gluing and connecting parts. To create repeating elements for the menorah pedestals, roll out the clay and cut out shapes using cookie cutters or other tools you have at home, such as a round lid, a jar, etc. For sculpting thin and long forms or sculpting to a height, it is advisable to use a supporting structure, it can be a flexible metal wire on which the pieces of clay are wrapped or simply a wooden skewer or toothpick. If you have clay left at the end of the work or you want to continue working on the menorahs, they should be kept wrapped in an airtight bag or box, it is also recommended to wrap them in a wet piece of cloth. If the product has lost moisture and is difficult to process, you can use water to restore its elasticity.
