Sophie Cherkov was born in 1990 in Kharkov, Ukraine. In 1994 she immigrated to Israel with her parents and six brothers, Yana, David, Mai, Moshe, Lisa and Nili.

From childhood she created together with her brother and art is a big part of the growth and development of each and every one of them.

In 2017, she completed a bachelor's degree at the University of Haifa in the fields of philosophy and art history. In 2019, she graduated with a master's degree from Tel Hai College in the field of plastic art therapy, and in 2020 she was certified as an art therapist by the University of Haifa.

Her ambition is to continue in her father's footsteps and she teaches children and toddlers in art workshops at Cherkov Studio. In addition, she conducts a class for the children of the Rimon Club of the ALA Association in Ramat Gan.

Art is an integral part of her life. She creates in different media, for the aesthetic experience and as a therapeutic tool.
