Being the daughter of artist Alexander Cherkov, most of his artistic career developed before my eyes. When I was a child, when we only came to Israel, my father would work on the balcony of the house for his art. Every morning when I woke up, I used to run to the balcony and see the state of his progress, since he did a lot of his art late, after we had already gone to bed. As a witness to the creative stages, a fascinating and unique world unfolded before me. There is no doubt that growing up as an artist father, his work instilled in me the importance of artistic creation, as well as the need and responsibility we have to preserve and even add to the cultural treasure. Therefore, even the choice to acquire an academic education in the Faculty of Arts, was the most natural for me.

I completed a degree in art history and certificate studies in curatorial and museology at Tel Aviv University. I am currently a graduate student in the history of art. Later I taught practical art and lectured on the history of art in the framework of non-formal education for all ages. I also curated exhibitions on behalf of the Ramat Gan Givatayim Association of Sculptors and Painters, and on behalf of the Student Association at Tel Aviv University.

The artist who influenced me the most in life, is of course Dad. The discourse on art has always been at home. We often discussed creators and their works. There are even those, such as Andrei Tarkovsky and the Bach family for example, whose names were mentioned more frequently in our home than relatives.
